About this movie
After more than thirty years of service as a top naval aviator, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot. Yet, Maverick must confront the ghosts of his past when he returns to TOPGUN to train a group of elite graduates and comes face to face with Lt. Bradshaw (Miles Teller), the son of his former wingman "Goose". Bitter rivalries ignite as the pilots prepare for a specialized mission which will require the ultimate sacrifice from those chosen to fly it.

I had really high expectations but it fell somewhat short. Im a big fan of planes so dogfighting scenes really impressed me. Story line seemed to be little shallow, choppy and superficial. The acting was ok with lines that were simple - missing deeper meaning Overall i think the 1986's Top Gun had more emotional load with better developed friendship and romance stories. It seemed more natural and easier to connect to. Still a good movie but now i am gonna watch and enjoy the 1986 again..

A breathless, amazing sequel. One of the best films of the year. Following up from the first one, this one is a beautiful action fest with amazing aerial flying, a great story, scary scenes, and fun times. Jennifer Connelly and Cruise really deliever here and so does Val Kilmer. I saw it in IMAX which was a pretty good experience. Also the main theme song by Lady Gaga is absolutely incredible and is a great follow up theme song to "Take My Breath Away". I give Top Gun: Maverick a 5 out of 5.

First Off .....This is just my opinion not trying to put down anyone but I did not like the "PENNY" character totally not the same vibe as when "CHARLIE" Kelly Ann McGillis played the part not even the same sensual character/attraction between her & TOM. That is why no 5 stars for me! I would not watch again as I have watch the 1st TOP GUN more than I can even count. The 1st TOP GUN will always hold a very special place in my heart! As well as the young man I originally watch it with~MNault
